Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00pm – 7am

Job Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented QC Data Review Scientist to join our night shift team in Charles City, Iowa. In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing laboratory data and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with SOPs, and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong science background who enjoys working independently while supporting a collaborative, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review raw data from technicians and chemists for accuracy, completeness, and scientific validity.
- Verify chromatograms, spectra, analytical records, lab notebooks, logbooks, and instrument outputs.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with lab staff.
- Ensure conclusions drawn from lab data are sound, supported, and compliant with cGMP and other applicable regulations.
- Adhere to all EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP, and DEA regulations, as well as internal SOPs.
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and company safety standards.
- Provide off-shift coverage and assist in training as needed.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and inventories.
- Communicate project updates effectively with the team.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field (required)
- Prior experience in a laboratory or quality assurance environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and scientific accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Collaborative and self-motivated—comfortable working independently on the night shift
