Job Description

Sirius Staffing Is seeking a Quality Control Associate Lab Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Birmingham, AL.
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician performs accurate and timely testing of routine lab samples by appropriate GMP and safety guidelines. The Lab Tech will also perform equipment qualifications and quality system improvement initiatives by executing well-defined protocols and procedures.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for coordinating and sampling of incoming raw materials and finished components for use in cGMP manufacturing lab personnel 
  • Maintains permanent lab records and communicates issues to appropriate QC management.
  • Responsible for coordinating shipment and submission of samples for testing at external laboratories 
  • Responsible for maintenance of laboratory glassware (cleaning, organizing, and replacing as necessary) 
  • Perform tracking and ordering of laboratory supplies
  • Ability to execute tasks by conforming to written procedures and protocols and recognize when a deviation from such procedures has occurred
  • Learns and utilizes all required forms, software, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Understands and follows the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability, and communication with supervision
  • Completes all training before execution of any activity
  • Performs other duties as may be required by the supervisor
 
Qualifications:
  • High school degree with 0-3 years experience 
  • Accurate and proficient analytical skills/knowledge
  • Ability to work in a heavily regulated environment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel and equipment-specific software
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
