Job Title: Quality Control Scientist
Location: Norwood, OH
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Training: Initial training on 1st Shift before transitioning to 2nd Shift
Pay: $30/hour base + 10% shift differential upon moving to 2nd Shift

Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join our QC team in Norwood, OH. This role is critical in ensuring product quality through the analysis of high-purity solvents and solvent mixtures using advanced instrumentation. Candidates must bring a strong quality and safety mindset and be open to cross-functional collaboration with Production and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct conformance testing for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Develop and execute analytical methods using HPLC, UPLC, GC, MS, FTIR, and other standard QC instruments.
- Perform calibration and verification of critical lab equipment.
- Document results in systems such as SAP and LIMS, making pass/fail determinations based on specifications.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records for laboratory and equipment activities.
- Support in-process testing for Production and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Uphold rigorous housekeeping and equipment maintenance protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical assistance to other QC team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree with relevant laboratory experience or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
- Candidates with a PhD will not be considered per site requirements.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with GC-MS, HPLC-MS, IC, ICP-MS, and Karl Fischer Titration.
- Experience working within a GMP-regulated QC lab environment.
- Familiarity with SAP and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
