Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for a Contract position with the potential to last longer or possibly go permanent in Hopewell, VA. Please contact us today for more information.
 
The Lab Technician will provide basic laboratory test analyses, inventory lab supplies, and verify functionality of laboratory equipment. 
 
Schedule:
Rotating shift work, 7-7
Dupont schedule
4 nights, 3 days off
3 days, 1 day off
3 nights, 3 days off
4 days, 7 days off
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform Quality Control Tests on all raw material, in-process, and finished samples brought to the lab per SOP’s and sample testing plans. Complete the associated paperwork.
  • Provide minimal guidance to Operations on corrections to batches to meet specifications.
  • Inventory laboratory supplies all materials necessary to perform QC tests.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete all data entry requirements necessary to maintain systems integrity, including SAP.
  • Verify the functionality of laboratory equipment.
  • Perform tests and other rudimentary requirements as defined by the QC Manager.
 
Qualifications:
  • Must have 1 year of Chemical Laboratory experience.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP software is preferred.
  • HS Diploma required.
