Quality Lab Operations Manager
On-site in Delaware, OH
$78-95K Based on experience
Bonus: 7%

As the Quality Lab Operations Leader, you will oversee a variety of laboratory activities in both quality control and research environments, working for a Chemical Manufacturing Facility. Leading the QC team, you will manage technicians in sample validation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the QC Lab Manager, you will serve as a performance role model, team facilitator, and driver of strategic objectives at the laboratory level.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive team performance and establish accountability processes for feedback.
- Partner with multiple departments to support strategic goals.
- Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) activities.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with other QC lab supervisors to coordinate cross-area initiatives.
- Conduct daily meetings with technicians to review priorities and progress.
- Ensure technician needs, QC team requirements, and lab resources are met.
- Maintain compliance with the company's Quality Management System.
- Create and track personal and team development plans.
- Contribute departmental X-matrix action items as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of professional laboratory experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team.
- Willingness to work overtime as required by business or project needs.
- Strong knowledge of ISO and IATF quality management systems.
