Quality Lab Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Lab Technician for a temp to hire opportunity in Birmingham, AL. Please contact Sirius today for more information.
Schedule:
M-F, 8am-5pm
Rate:
24-26hr.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and sample incoming raw materials and finished components for use in cGMP manufacturing processes.
- Oversee outsource testing, including coordination with contract labs, shipping of samples, and communication of results to internal lab personnel.
- Maintain permanent laboratory records and promptly report issues to QC management.
- Coordinate shipment and submission of samples to external laboratories for testing.
- Maintain and organize laboratory glassware, including cleaning and replacing as necessary.
- Track and order laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Execute tasks by strictly following written procedures and protocols, recognizing and reporting deviations when they occur.
- Utilize required forms, software, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Demonstrate accountability in attendance and communication with supervision.
- Complete all necessary training before performing any laboratory activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a heavily regulated cGMP environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and equipment-specific software.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in analytical tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a structured and regulated environment.
- Strong organizational skills for managing supplies, records, and documentation.
- Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the laboratory environment.
