Sirius Staffing is seeking a Railcar Unloader for a contract to direct position working in Columbus, MS. Please contact us for more information.
 
Schedule:
M-F, 6:15am-3pm, Saturdays as needed
 
Responsibilities: 
  • This position reports directly to the Production manager. 
  • This is a non-maintenance task designed to provide operational support unloading pulp rolls from railcars using a clamp truck.
  • Primary responsibility is to safely unload pulp rolls from railcars without damaging the rolls or railcars, then inspect each roll for contamination, and stage the rolls for consumption.
  • Contractors must adhere to the Company’s safety, quality, and environmental standards, proficiently operate a clamp truck, and use computer software applications to carry out railcar unloading duties. 
  • Contractors will be trained on the assigned task by a certified IP trainer. They will complete a training checklist and demonstration prior to being released from being shadowed by the IP trainer.
  • In the event of downtime during the shift, contractors will be utilized to assist with housekeeping efforts which may include washing down of process areas, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dumping trash cans etc.
  • Housekeeping tasks will be assigned by the Production Manager or Team Builder on shift.
 
Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of Forklift/Warehouse experience
  • Experienced unloading/Loading materials
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
