Safety/Project Manager
Job Description
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by rigorously enforcing all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including Evonik EHSQ standards.
- Provide exemplary leadership and guidance to Chemical Operators in the safe operation of manufacturing process equipment, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Oversee and optimize productivity on shift to meet or exceed production targets while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards.
- Facilitate effective communication of essential information to the Production Manager and Engineers, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across departments.
- Develop and manage shift schedules for team members, diligently monitoring coverage to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
- Possess five years or more of hands-on experience in plant operations or hold an engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial discipline, demonstrating a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Exhibit technical prowess and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including the ability to interpret P&ID diagrams, operate DCS systems, and comprehend basic equipment functions.
- Possess expertise in safety regulations and permitting processes, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Comfortably navigate workplace technology, including Microsoft Office applications, SAP, DCS/HMI systems, and other relevant software tools.
- Exhibit proficiency in basic mathematical concepts, capable of conducting calculations and interpreting data pertinent to manufacturing operations.
