Senior Auditor
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior Auditor for a direct hire opportunity located in Memphis, TN.
Pay: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Summary : The Senior Auditor will plan and execute integrated financial, operational, and information systems audits, as well as special projects under the guidance of the Audit/Information Systems Manager. This position involves leading major audits, resolving complex business issues, preparing executive-level reports, and mentoring junior staff. The Senior Auditor will also serve as a trusted internal consultant and liaison across departments and management levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute audit risk assessments and detailed audit plans in compliance with department standards.
- Review audit work completed by junior staff to ensure thoroughness and proper documentation.
- Identify and implement computer-assisted audit techniques to enhance audit efficiency and coverage.
- Prepare formal audit reports for senior leadership and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Conduct interviews and meetings with personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and present findings.
- Mentor and support less experienced auditors, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
- Coordinate audit activities with external auditors to avoid duplication and reduce audit costs.
- Serve as a liaison between management and audit teams to communicate progress and resolve issues.
- Establish alignment agreements with business partners to foster strong working relationships and manage expectations.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct internal audit experience or a combination of public accounting, finance, consulting, and/or IT audit.
- Proven ability to lead and manage audits, including cross-functional projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in risk-based auditing, including project scoping, test plan execution, and reporting.
- Proficiency in audit software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including international travel.
- Professional certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or equivalent).
