Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Sr. Piping/Mechanical Designer for an opportunity in Theodore, AL. This is a hybrid schedule, Designer must report to the site at least 3 days per week. This is a contract position, 6-8 months but could be extended.

Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ Associates Degree in Drafting/Design is preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in Chemical piping design
- At least 10 plus years of experience using Aveva E3D, Navisworks Simulate, LFM Laser Scanning Software
- Experience with plant layouts for greenfield and brownfield projects
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Act as a discipline lead in the piping design discipline
- Conduct model reviews with clients
- Give suggestions on design improvements to save money and improve constructability
- Check isometrics for design accuracy against P&IDs, equipment, and instrument drawings
- Generate IFB and IFC packages
- Write detailed scope of works to hand over to a piping / mechanical construction contractor
- Provide engineering estimates
- Estimate construction material and labor costs
- Work 40 hours per week with possible overtime
