Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer (PE) to join a dynamic team in Pensacola, FL. The PE will work for a leading engineering firm specializing in cutting-edge solutions for heavy industrial structures that is dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering services to power plants, paper mills, refineries, and other industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in heavy industrial structures, focusing on power plants, paper mills, and refineries.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis to ensure the structural integrity of various projects.
- Apply your knowledge of RISA to support the design and analysis processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical insights and solutions.
- Participate in field activities, including obtaining measurements and assessing structures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in at least one state, with the ability to obtain licenses in additional states.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
- Concentration in heavy industrial structures, with no more than 20% experience in commercial projects.
- Basic AutoCAD skills for drafting and design tasks.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis is a must.
- Familiarity with RISA is advantageous.
- Ability to travel occasionally (2-6 trips per year), lasting 2-3 nights each.
- Capable of obtaining field measurements and comfortable with climbing ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
