Position Overview
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst specializing in Amazon Connect and AWS application development for a full-time onsite opportunity in Tampa, Florida.
This position will lead complex software-development and application-integration initiatives within a large enterprise environment. The Systems Analyst will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, with particular emphasis on application design, development, implementation, integration, deployment, and production support.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on, production-level experience implementing and developing Amazon Connect, along with strong Python programming, AWS development, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD experience. This is a senior technical role that will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and support mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex software-development and application-integration projects.
- Collaborate with business systems analysts, business partners, technical teams, and project managers to develop software specifications and technical solutions.
- Design, develop, configure, implement, and support production-level Amazon Connect solutions.
- Develop Python applications, scripts, integrations, and AWS Lambda functions.
- Create and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit, or AWS CDK.
- Integrate Amazon Connect with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, AWS services, and third-party platforms.
- Develop and review technical design specifications, implementation plans, estimates, and supporting SDLC documentation.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, and related development tools.
- Lead the technical implementation and integration of software packages requiring advanced configuration.
- Coordinate with external vendors and oversee vendor deliverables when required.
- Participate in application-development, application-support, and cross-functional project teams.
- Serve as a technical lead and subject-matter expert across multiple projects and business areas.
- Review work produced by junior technical staff and provide coaching, technical direction, and mentorship.
- Establish and promote software-development, application-support, and SDLC best practices.
- Support production releases, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Participate in primary or secondary 24x7 on-call support for mission-critical applications.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts related to development processes, system architecture, maintenance, deployment, and application support.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in systems analysis, application design, software development, and systems integration.
- Hands-on, production-level experience implementing, developing, configuring, and supporting Amazon Connect.
- Strong Python programming and application-development experience.
- Experience developing and integrating AWS-based applications and services.
- Experience integrating applications through APIs, AWS Lambda, databases, or other complex interfaces.
- Experience leading complex software-development or application-integration projects.
- Strong understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
- Experience creating and reviewing technical designs, specifications, project estimates, and implementation documentation.
- Experience with Git-based source control and formal software-development practices.
- Experience supporting production or mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Ability to participate in an after-hours and 24x7 on-call support rotation.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Tampa five days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, engineering, mathematics, business administration, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of systems analysis, application design, and software-development experience.
- Hands-on AWS CDK development experience.
- Experience developing AWS Lambda functions using Python.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, or comparable source-control and deployment tools.
- Experience with Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, queues, security profiles, telephony configuration, or agent-workspace functionality.
- Experience integrating Amazon Connect with CRM platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, or other AWS services.
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Kinesis, or Amazon Lex.
- React development experience.
- Exposure to agentic AI or AI-enabled application-development solutions.
- Experience supervising technical employees, contractors, or external development resources.
- Experience with project planning, resource management, vendor coordination, and release management.
- One or more AWS, software-development, cloud, DevOps, or other job-related professional certifications.
Work Environment
- This position is onsite at an office location in Tampa, Florida.
- The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day.
- The role may require scheduled after-hours work for releases, maintenance, or production support.
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
- Overtime will be paid when applicable.
