The Technical Checker is accountable for technically accurate drawings on assigned projects utilizing drafting techniques. Review routine to complex layouts, charts, graphs, maps, engineered designs, 3D models, drawings and/or diagrams form departmental technical specifications and instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sketches, schematics, preliminary lay outs, etc. for compliance with the specifications, regulatory requirements, and standard practices.
- Responsible for compliance with drawing procedures of drawings and assigned deliverables. Responsible for verifying vendor information and technical data as required.
- Coordinates with other sections when appropriate Ensures CAD standards are followed
- Designs to company standards and common material where possible
- Ensures work meets requirements of applicable Regulatory Body and job specifications
- Implements company standard practices and procedures (i.e. PRN’s, ECP’s, EAR’s, Budget Requests, drawing check out, etc.)
- Coordinates and reviews required vendor information Coordinates with other personnel as appropriate
- Incorporates and documents owner, regulatory body, and other governing bodies’ comments.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good knowledge of design principles and drafting techniques.
- Some knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and practices.
- Ability to work with drafting materials and equipment.
- 3D Modeling capabilities desired.
- 10+ years of experience required
