Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a dedicated Time Administrator to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse group of employees, utilizing systems like Workday and Excel.

$23/hr + benefits offered

Schedule: Monday to Friday; normal business hours

Responsibilities:
  • Manage time administration for a large employee population, including salaried exempt/non-exempt and hourly employees.
  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to time and pay policies.
  • Provide guidance on routine and complex time coding and pay issues.
  • Perform time entry audits and corrections prior to payroll deadlines.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, HR, and Corporate Payroll.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Generate time approval and pay reports to meet compliance requirements.
  • Handle short-term employee disability time coding and resolution.
  • Conduct training sessions on time/pay processes for various employee groups.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve time/pay issues.
  • Maintain payroll documentation in accordance with record retention policies.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in payroll administration.
  • Familiarity with SAP/BI or Workday systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
  • Payroll certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SOX, FLSA, and wage & hour laws.
