Warehouse Assistant
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant for a short-term contract opportunity in El Dorado, Arkansas. This position will support daily warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving and issuing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, performing stock counts, and ensuring materials are organized and readily available to support site operations.
Position Details
- Location: El Dorado, AR
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Anticipated Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Assignment Length: Approximately 9–10 weeks
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments
- Issue materials and accurately update inventory records
- Perform stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory transfers
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Maintain organized storage areas and accurate labeling systems
- Track inventory using CMS and other inventory management systems
- Utilize SAP, Concur, and Maximo as required
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and site personnel
- Communicate effectively and professionally while resolving inventory or material-related concerns
- Follow all site safety procedures and requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, stockroom, or related operations
- Material Handler experience is a plus
- Previous experience with inventory tracking and stock counts
- Experience with SAP, Concur, Maximo, and/or CMS preferred
- Forklift operating experience preferred; current certification is not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
