Job Description

Sirius Staffing immediately seeks a Warehouse Assistant for a day shift position in Martin, South Carolina. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of warehouse operations experience and experience operating a forklift. This position is a contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a perm position. 
 
$18/hr 
Mon – Friday, 8-hour day shift. 
 
The Warehouse Assistant will assist the warehouse Operators with material handling, setting up and labeling containers for production, staging finished products, and loading outgoing trucks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the receiving and processing of incoming stock and materials.
  • Assist in the loading of trucks with outgoing shipments.
  • Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse.
  • Prepare and set up containers for production use.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain an organized labeling system to ensure easy identification of materials and products.
  • Move finished products from production areas to designated staging areas.
  • Ensure that finished products are correctly labeled and ready for shipping or further processing.
  • Ensure containers are clean, correctly labeled, and properly placed for easy access by production staff.
  • Transport chemicals and equipment using tools such as pumps/piping, fork trucks, pallet jacks, or dollies.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the production processes, including full-face respirators, gloves, and suits.
  • Take necessary action to address any unsafe conditions.

Requirements:
  • A High School diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Forklift experience

  • Proficient in safe chemical handling methods
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
