Warehouse Operator 1
Job Description
Sirius Staffing has an immediate opening for a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our team in Allentown, PA. This position is responsible for supporting the shipment of customer orders and ensuring the efficient processing of inbound shipments.
The ideal candidate must have at least three years of solid work experience with no unexplained gaps.
This is full-time, working Monday – Friday 8:30-5 or 9-5:30.
Pay: $20.00/ hour
Essential Job Functions:
- Pack items for shipment to customers according to established procedures
- Check chemicals, catalog numbers, lot numbers, and special requests against order documentation
- Apply required labels and markings to comply with hazardous materials regulations
- Stage finished boxes for shipment
- Pull items accurately and neatly for customer orders
- Use proper equipment for orders based on size and weight
- Receive and unpack shipments for put-away
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and stock locations
- Perform shelf maintenance and inventory audits and input data regarding inventory management
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
- Demonstrate exemplary attendance and adherence to the schedule
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Steady work history: Must have at least three years of solid work history
- three years of related work experience required
- Computer knowledge
- Attention to detail.
- Must have Forklift Experience
- RF Scanner experience required
- Operating Pallet Jack and selecting carts/packaging equipment required
- Required to wear steel tip or composite shoes/boots
Essential and Critical Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently; various cutting instruments; operating PCs and printers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for extended periods, may require walking 10-12 miles per day
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted; may require assistance for items over 50 pounds
- Must have adequate vision, hearing, taste, and smell
- Regular use of phones, computers, and office equipment
- Ability to type at a computer keyboard and read CRTs/computer monitors
