Warehouse Operator 2
Job Description
- Receive and store all incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and returned goods.
- Unload trailers using power equipment, verify freight, and sign the bill of lading.
- Sort, inspect, and log items into the appropriate system (e.g., SAP).
- Apply labels and cans to inbound materials as needed.
- Schedule dock appointments with carriers and communicate discrepancies or product issues to Procurement.
- Pack hazardous and non-hazardous items for shipment to customers.
- Pack pre-packaged and bulk materials per established procedures, ensuring compliance with hazard regulations.
- Communicate shipping issues and prioritize orders with Customer Interface Departments.
- Coordinate with external vendors to schedule dock appointments for bulk receiving.
- Resolve discrepancies with internal customers and verify order documentation against product information.
- Prepare hazardous shipping documentation and maintain order records.
- Ship defective materials back to vendors.
- Use scanners or computer systems to store products and select materials.
- Fulfill internal supply orders and stage products using power equipment.
- Deliver products to on-site customers and store them in designated areas.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and make necessary system adjustments.
- Assist in training new employees and audit counts to verify actual locations in the system.
- Work with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot system issues and operate SAP and WMS systems.
- Report safety hazards to team leads or management and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and adherence to the schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- At least one year of experience operating a forklift.
- 2-4 years of previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Consent to pre-employment physical and DOT medical monitoring is required.
- Ability to work in a freezer/cooler located outside the building, requiring some walking.
- Use of a safety harness is required.
