Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team in DeKalb. This role involves receiving and handling raw materials, operating forklifts, data entry, and working in freezer/cooler environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials are safely received, processed, and stored using company systems such as SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials and supplies
- Use SAP or other systems for accurate data entry and inventory tracking
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (minimum 1 year of experience)
- Work in a refrigerated/freezer environment, including outdoor storage
- Pack and label hazardous and non-hazardous materials per safety guidelines
- Schedule dock appointments and coordinate with carriers and internal teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use and harness safety
- Assist with internal material deliveries and support other warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of warehouse experience
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Forklift experience (minimum 1 year)
- Must be comfortable working in cold environments and performing physical tasks
- Must pass pre-employment physical and DOT medical evaluation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
- Basic computer skills (SAP or similar systems preferred)
- Team player with a strong work ethic and reliability
Work Environment:
- Cold storage and outdoor environments
- Physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, and bending
- Wearing safety harness and PPE as required
