Warehouse Supervisor and Material Handler
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor and Material Handler in Goose Creek, SC. This position oversees daily warehouse operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, handling materials, and ensuring timely distribution to construction sites while maintaining safety and compliance standards. It also involves coordinating with internal teams, generating reports, and optimizing warehouse processes to support project goals.
Range: $25-40/hr BOE
Benefits offered + PTO Accrued + Holiday Pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse operations, supervising staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Material Handling: Actively participate in loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely distribution.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure all materials are stored and handled correctly.
- Material Release: Coordinate and manage the release of materials to construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.
- Process Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to align warehouse operations with project goals and company objectives.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed inventory reports, providing insights into stock levels and material usage for management review.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision and material handling.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of material handling tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices.
- Certification in warehouse management or a related field.
- Certification in dock machinery, such as fork trucks and motorized pallet jacks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing demands.
