Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Portland, OR. This is a long-term contract working for a large manufacturing site. The primary function of the Warehouse Associate is to receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. 

Rate:  $18.30/hr 
Schedule: 5a-130p, Monday – Friday 

What you will need: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience (additional experience is a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an analytical mindset and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • A dependable team player who is highly detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations to protect people, data, property, and institutions at local, state, or national levels.
Responsibilities: (Tasks will include but not be limited to the following)
  • Forklift operator to pick, load, and put away items in the Warehouse.
  • Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Assist or guide other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers as needed. 
Additional Information:
All required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
